Description

The Temperature Probe is an addition to the Electric Switch and Powered Room Thermostat to provide extra temperature measurement.

When used with an Electric Switch, the temperature probe provides for measurement of the temperature of a hot water tank. This provides greater control of hot water from ‘On/Off control’ to ‘Time and Temperature. It can be installed in a thermostat pocket on a hot water tank or the surface of the tank if it is installed under the insulation.

Alternatively, the Temperature Probe can be used with the Powered Room Thermostat. This allows for the floor temperature to also be limited, to protect the floor against over-heating, when the Powered Room Thermostat is used to control wet or electric underfloor heating. This is critical for sensitive floors (such as engineered wood, laminate, vinyl or ceramics) and Electric Underfloor Heating. The floor limit is set to 28°C.

The Temperature Probe is an NTC sensor (10kΩ at 25°C), and is 3m long.
