Description

The Electric Relay will wirelessly receive messages from the Genius Hub to control various electrical loads such as lights, an electric space heater, a circulation pump, an air conditioning unit, a ventilation system or a zone of wet underfloor heating.

When used to control electric space heating, air conditioning or wet underfloor to the schedule set on the app, the temperature will be measured by a Room Sensor or Room Thermostat. Alternatively, this can be used to switch any load up to 11A (230V), using its volt-free contact.

As it is mains-powered, the Electric Relay always boosts the signal for the other devices in the property. This increases the life of the battery powered devices by providing easy lines of communication back to the Genius Hub. The Genius Hub network does not rely on your WiFi signal it runs on its own frequency of 868MHz. This is separate from the 2.4GHz and 5GHz mobile and WiFi connections. The network is more reliable and will not interfere with existing wireless devices in the property.

Unlike the Electric Switch, the Electric Relay is installed behind a blanking plate to ensure it cannot be tampered with. Therefore the Electric Relay is popular for student housing, guest houses and offices, where maintenance and reliability is of utmost importance. It can also be installed into drywall boxes to make it very discreet.

The Electric Relay is shipped with a Blanking Plate.
